Is it possible to create a cozy fall entryway while keeping it simple? Of course it is! I will show you how I kept it very minimal, but added a few touches of fall to create a cozy vibe. Elevating a seasonal feel with muted colors paired with warm woods is the perfect way to achieve this.

We normally think of guttering as only something that protects a home from rain, and it’s often an afterthought when it comes to the design of a home. Why not use something that is essential and turn it into a design element that enhances the look of your house?

When you can’t find it, you just DIY it, right? As I was slowly decorating and adding in my fall decor, I knew I wanted to add in a few fall pictures. As I was searching all my go to places and even online, I just couldn’t find any fall art that I absolutely loved. If I did find one, it was out of stock or too expensive. So, I decided to DIY my own fall art. You know this has to be easy if I’m doing it because I’m not a very crafty person.

Henry and I have always self-contracted our builds and projects up to this point. We love being hands on and enjoy doing lots of the work ourselves. Throughout the past eighteen years of several builds and re-models, this is the first time we have hired a contractor.

As most of you know, in just a few short months our family will be leaving our current house and moving into the one we’re currently building. We never really put it up for sale, but we ended up getting a contract on it just a few weeks before we started our new build. It was truly God’s plan the way it worked out and we have become wonderful friends with the soon to be new owners.
