There are a lot of details to share in the kitchen at our new build, from the hand-applied reeding on the island to the curved edge of the stone backsplash. We used white oak throughout the kitchen and went with a deep green-gray in the adjoining scullery. Both rooms are part of our Summit house plan, and we’re taking you through the layout, materials and sources below.

When we started our new home project here in Tennessee, one of the biggest decisions we had to make was which windows to choose. It’s funny how something as simple as a window can completely change the look, feel, and long-term quality of your home, but the more we researched, the more we realized how big of a deal this choice actually was. After comparing brands, styles, and costs, we ultimately decided on casement windows from Windsor, and honestly, we’re so glad we did.
