10 DIY Home Decor Instagram Accounts You Must Follow

You might have noticed that occasionally we’ll take on a DIY project, or two. I mean why spend tons of money hiring out a project when you can do it yourself. But saving money, isn’t the only reason we DIY. We both have a passion for creating. It’s such a feeling of accomplishment when you complete a project, and can say “Wow! I did that.” It’s just a neat feeling.

We’ve been doing DIY projects for years, but when we started this Instagram journey about 8 months ago, a whole new world was opened up to us. Following other Instagram accounts that post DIY content has been so helpful in getting ideas and getting those creative juices flowing. So here are a few of our favorites we want to share with you. If you’re not already following these accounts, you should be!

@philip_or_flop

When we first started this Instagram journey, Philip was one of the first people to reach out and offer advice and tips, and for that I will forever be grateful.

In all of his projects, you can tell Phillip has a tremendous attention for detail and everything he does is spot on! When you view his feed, make sure you check out the beautiful play house he built for his girls.

@angelarosehome

I don’t think there is any project that Angela Rose is afraid to tackle. But of all of her projects, I think this modern accent wall might be my favorite so far. It actually played a part in inspiring us to do a modern board and batten accent wall of our own.

@craftedbythehunts

Zoe and Andrew have been DIYing since their first date. How cute is that!? I discovered their account a couple of months ago, and I’m always blown away by the stuff they are doing, like this window seat and accent wall.

@jenwoodhouse

Jen makes some pretty amazing furniture. Just take a look at this walnut and steel entertainment center! I love how sleek and modern it is.

@ispydiy

Jenni has been able to turn her love for DIY into her full time job. Her blog and IG account are both full of inspiring projects. I love this hand painted faux wallpaper wall in her loft.

@brimoysa

Bri has a fun account to follow. Just check out this DIY stock tank pool she did, and I love the color she painted it.

@beginninginthemiddle

Catherine & Bryan Williamson are a husband and wife design team that share their renovation experiences. And I absolutely love their account. Their work is so inspiring! If you don’t believe me, just look at this perfect wood to tile transition.

@kismet_house

Erin is a design blogger/product stylist and she’s been featured by some pretty big names in the home design space like Country Living Magazine, Design Sponge, All Modern, and Apartment Therapy.

Operation weekend projects are in full swing. We are tackling a front porch spruce up, side deck refresh/kid zone and an interior garage door revamp with a $500 budget. We will likely land at about $750 because we added a 3rd project; spending $250 on each in theory. The doors are currently off and being prepped for paint, up next fence repair and painting that too. We also need to get some pots planted and our house sign/numbers made and new exterior lights installed. Full disclosure all of these projects are temporary upgrades. Each space needs much more work than the quick $250 spruce up they're getting. BUT all of them need very pricey changes that we dont have the budget for yet. We have decided to start making what we have NOW the best it can be instead of hating what we have now, waiting and wishing we had the money for the big budget changes. Embrace what it is and make it the best it can be in the meantime. Gonna go shop for some outdoor kids zone accessories for the side deck this afternoon. Hopefully all will be ready to share by Sunday 🤞 Busy 2 days ahead. In other news @eclectic_goods is having a awesome sale and this Erin chair and that Kismet sofa are on it. These items and more linked directly in my "Eclectic Goodies" highlight reel. • • • • #sodomino #mydomaine #designsponge #inmydomaine #rshome #hunkerhome #everydayibt #livesimply #thankfulheart #fromwhereistand #lightandbright #cornersofmyhome #bloglovinhome #mypinterest #countrylivingmag #sunsetmag #homebunch #interiorinspo #apartmenttherapy #lonnyliving #ggathome #theeverygirlathome #smmakelifebeautiful #kismetcheckoutmyhouse #ecgoodsvibe

Not only does Brooke have a great name, she has been at this for a while. So chances are you might already be following her. Nevertheless, I had to include her. Her account is overflowing with inspiring shots of her house, that she and her husband have remodeled.

@graceinmyspace

I love Sarah’s account and her beautiful home. Checkout their kitchen remodel that they recently completed. I love the contrast between the perimeter cabinets and the island!
