If you’re a blogger or influencer and you plan on working with brands, it’s a good idea to have a media kit. If you’re not sure what a media kit is, it’s basically a way to tell a potential partner a little bit about you and what you can do for their brand. It should contain your logo, a bio, your most important social media and blog stats, as well as brands that you’ve previously worked with. You might also want to include your rates and and some testimonials.
When we decided that we needed a media kit, I did some searching for a quick solution. But to my surprise all of the media kit templates I found were PSD or PDF format. This meant that our media kit would be static file. To me, this seemed like a bad idea. Social media and blog stats are always changing (hopefully growing). If we sent a static media kit file to a company, within a week, the media kit would already be outdated.
It seemed like a much better idea to have a page on our blog that served as our media kit. That way we could easily keep it updated with current social media stats and new partners. And instead of sending a PDF file to a potential partner, we could simply send them a URL.
So that’s what I did. Using a WordPress page builder plugin called Elementor, I created our media kit page.
One thing that we’ve learned is that brands want professionalism from influencers. So it was important that the media kit page look really really nice! I made sure to create a super clean layout, use good typography, and I added a few nifty effects for good measure.
Since there aren’t any online media kit solutions out there, I decided to take what I made for us, tweak the design, and make it available to download.

And the best part…it’s FREE!!
Use the buttons below to view a demo of the media kit template and download it. After you download it, make sure to keep reading for instructions on how to use it.
Adding the Media Kit to your Site
In order to use our digital media kit template, first you need to have a WordPress blog or website. If you don’t have one, and want to learn how to start a blog, there is a good article over on ThemeTrust. On a side note, ThemeTrust is a premium WordPress theme shop that I started back in 2010. It’s actually my “real job”.
1. Install Elementor
On your WordPress site, you need to install Elementor. It’s a free plugin, that you can download and install from the WordPress plugin directory. Here’s how to do it:
From the WordPress Dashboard, click Plugins > Add New.
In the Search field, enter Elementor and choose Elementor page builder to install.
After installation, click Activate.
If you haven’t used Elementor before you are in for a treat! I think it’s the best page builder available for WordPress. It allows you to design complex layouts by dragging and dropping in a live editor. Once you have it installed, you can use it for much more than just your media kit page.
2. Create Your Media Kit Page
Still in your WordPress Dashboard, goto Pages > Add New.
Give your page a name, like Media Kit for example.
3. Import and Edit the Template
At the top of the page, you will see a Edit with Elementor button. Click that and it will bring up the Elementor interface.
On the right side, click on the folder icon.

Then click on the Import Template button. It’s the up arrow with a circle around it as seen below.

From here you can select the Plank and Pillow Media Kit template file that you downloaded. After it’s uploaded, click the insert button.
It will be inserted into your themes default page template. So in the left hand column, you will need to select Elementor Canvas for Page Layout.

Now you can change the content of the template to your own. Elementor is very intuitive when it comes to editing. You can click an element on the right and edit the values on the left. They also have very good documentation if you need it.
Feel free to change colors and fonts to match your style and branding, or experiment with different layouts. This template can be used as is, or as a jump start to creating your own very unique media kit page.
Once you’re finished you can save and publish your page, and it’s ready to share with potential partners.
