I think lighting is one of the most important elements in setting the overall style of your home: modern, rustic, traditional, etc. For instance, we built a modern farmhouse, so using modern and industrial style fixtures was key to giving it the modern feel we were wanting.
I love looking at different light fixtures online, but the only problem is that I’m tempted to buy what I find even though we already have perfectly good lighting. So instead, I’m just going to share what I find with you.
These six lights are from Amazon and Etsy, so you don’t have to worry about them breaking the bank. If you have been following us for any time now, you know that with all of our projects we are very budget oriented. We don’t have an endless amount of money and are getting close to sending one to college. So we are always building, remodeling, or doing projects with savings in mind. I promise you can make things look amazing without spending a ton of money.
Bella Industrial Hanging Chandelier Light
This chandelier is so sleek and clean. This would be perfect for a foyer, dining room, or even a family room. It can be hung at a variety of hanging heights which will allow for over tables in the dining area to be shorter and longer for entryways.
Industrial Vanity Light
This vanity light is so cool. The touches of brass are perfect, and I love the thin black outline around the bottom of the shades. It gives it a nice little pop. I can see this light being used in a mid century modern of a modern farmhouse.
Bonlicht Sputnik Chandelier
To me, this next option is so beautiful and fun! With its polished brass finish and detailed industrial design, it will make any space have a modern feel you are trying to achieve. We bought this same one for our home office and absolutely love it! I think it works great in an office, but I also think it would look great in a bedroom or kids playroom.
Stone & Beam Modern Dome Pendant Light
I’m so in love with this pendant light! It has a dark oil rubbed bronze finish on the outside and gold on the inside. It would be perfect hanging over a kitchen island, in a study, or even in a bedroom.
Black Modern Ceiling Light
You don’t get much more modern than this one. The sleek look is awesome and I love how you can turn the sockets down or have them point strait out. This one is a semi-flush mount so it would be ideal for a space where you don’t have the head room to hang a chandelier.
Globe Vanity Lighting
Here is another vanity light I found on Etsy. The combination of brass, matte black and glass is simply stunning. I think this work well in just about any mid-century modern or modern farmhouse bathroom.
