Dining Room Refresh for the Holidays: The Home Depot Style

I wanted to give our dining room a little refresh since we are planning on having guests over for Thanksgiving dinner. The goal was to stay with our neutral decor style but I definitely wanted to add some personal decor touches that would allow our guests to feel like this was a special occasion. By partnering with The Home Depot, I was able to give our dining room exactly the feel we were looking for. The Home Depot made this refresh so easy by offering so many home decor items in a variety of styles.

I chose to stay with our current style of simple, clean, and a little modern. I also made sure and added in a little touch of elegance since we were hosting for dinner. Here is a breakdown of the items from The Home Depot that I put together and are absolutely loving!

Dinnerware

One of my favorite items for this dining room refresh was the Serenade 16-piece Round Stoneware. It illustrates our style perfectly with its modern and minimalist aesthetic. We chose this stoneware in white to keep things simple and clean. I also think white pairs well with the darker tones within the table and dining room.

Napkins and Flatware

In my opinion, every room needs a touch of gold. This Jayden 20-piece Gold Stainless steel flatware set was perfect for adding elegance to a tablescape with a modern design. Adding in gold or brass always dresses things up and adds lots of contrast with the other wood elements.

I wanted to go with a simple napkin for a soft touch. The Elrene Black and White Napkin is a cotton napkin with a hemmed edge for a beautiful finished edge. The hint of black was perfect for tying in with our hutch.

Center Piece

I wanted the centerpiece to stand out, but not be overpowering. The White Zentique Distressed Stoneware Vase is handcrafted with a distressed glaze. The color and texture were similar to the Serenade dinnerware which looked very nice together.

Marble Cheese Board

Every dinner needs an appetizer! This marble cheese board set was perfect for our table. It’s just the right size so it doesn’t take up too much space. I also love how the marble and rose gold add some really nice contrast and a touch of elegance to our wood table.

Greenery

Every room needs a touch of greenery and especially a tree-like this Artificial Olive Tree by Earth Worth. This tree is 6-feet tall and makes a statement with its realistic-looking leaves and fruit. It comes in a 7-inch weighted pot that you can house within a decorative planter or basket.

I chose the Valeria Round Resin Decorative Basket to hold the tree in our dining room area. This basket is handwoven from resin wicker which makes it very strong and durable. The dark brown color is a great fit with any decor style. We loved the way it contrasted against our lighter wood flooring, but yet pulled other darker wood tones that already existed within the room.
