    If you’re a blogger or influencer and you plan on working with brands, it’s a good idea to have a media kit. If you’re not sure what a media kit is, it’s basically a way to tell a potential partner a little bit about you and what you can do for their brand. It should contain your logo, a bio, your most important social media and blog stats, as well as brands that you’ve previously worked with.     Brooke has been busy finding vaulted ceiling inspiration like the image above. It’s images like that one that really got her thinking we needed to go vaulted with our great room and kitchen in the new house. We started off searching on line for a stock plan, but we quickly realized that it was going to be impossible to find a plan that had vaulted ceilings and everything else we were looking for. So at that point, we started the search for an architect. This was going to be a completely new process for us since on our other houses we had always used a stock plan and modified it to fit our needs.

    How to Build a Farmhouse Wood Range Hood

    When we designed the kitchen in our modern farmhouse, we chose to go with a stainless hood to add a little “modern” to the kitchen. However, after living in the house for a few months, Brooke decided that the kitchen would look better with a stained wood hood. It would add more warmth to the kitchen and tie in with the floating shelves and wood beams. At the time, I was itching for a new project, so I happily obliged.

The solution: take it down, and replace it with a sliding barn door. Not only did it solve the problem, but it added another element of visual interest to the room.
