Before
After

Of course with this bathroom remodel, we wanted everything to look amazing but we also needed to make sure we stayed on budget. It is easy to get overwhelmed during a remodel, but with Kohler’s quality and an extensive list of products from Wayfair, we were able to not only find the perfect pieces for our bathroom but also at an affordable price.

Don’t Move Plumbing or Electrical

This first tip will not only save you money but also time. We suggest that it is possible to not move the plumbing or electrical within the bathroom space. This will save you money on hiring someone to actually move the plumbing and electrical, not to mention it will also save on any materials that you would need to replace such as broken tile or messed up sheetrock.

We left all the plumbing and electrical in the same location as when we purchased the home. However, we did change out the toilet and the light fixture which was a huge improvement. We ended up choosing the Kohler Elongated Toilet in white. We noticed it had great reviews and was reasonably priced. It is also the perfect height which makes standing up and sitting down easier.

We switched the outdated vanity light to a more contemporary fixture with black and brass accents. This helped bring create a fresh modern look in this bathroom.

Choose Both Quality and Affordable Fixtures

Another great tip is to make sure and choose quality fixtures and brand names such as Kohler. We have been remodeling and building homes for several years. So this name has been tested and approved by us. For our shower, we went with the Kohler Awaken Full/Standard Low Flow Shower Head.

This showerhead brings great quality while keeping a sleek, minimalistic design. The Awaken delivers three distinct sprays-wide coverage, intense drenching, and targeting.

Plan for Storage

The last tip may be the most important, especially for us women. Make sure and plan for storage in your bathroom. When we started remodeling this particular bathroom we realized it did not have any storage areas, which was a big problem. However, Kohler had the perfect solution with this Kohler Verdera Recessed Frameless Medicine Cabinet.

The cabinet was the perfect elegant touch to this bathroom and also offered the storage it needed. The frameless cabinet also offers adjustable glass shelves for storage.
