Our Favorite Faux Boxwoods

Boxwoods are one of my favorite shrubs to use in containers. I’ve always had great luck with them thriving and living for years. However, in our current home, our back porches don’t get much sunlight. This has made it difficult to use real boxwoods in these areas. So lately, I’ve been buying some faux boxwoods. And I’m actually loving the fact that they are maintenance-free. That means no watering, no pruning, and no mess!

So if you’re looking for a low-maintenance way to add some greenery to your home, faux boxwoods are a great option. Plus, they’re sure to impress your guests! Here are a few of our favorite faux boxwoods that you may want to check out.

Tower Style Faux Boxwood

Faux Boxwood Balls

If you are looking for something a little taller for either an entryway or porch area this 36 in. Artificial Boxwood Tower Style Topiary is absolutely beautiful! This boxwood will provide a realistic, hassle-free look bringing the outdoors into any space. Adding this taller faux boxwood will give your front porch or room a sense of elegance its lush greenery and dense leaves.

If you are looking for an easy way to add greenery and do not want the plant stem or pot, the faux boxwood topiary may be your best choice. The boxwood topiary balls are perfect for outdoor planters or even used inside for decoration as well. One of my favorites is the Primrue 2 Piece Topiary Balls from Wayfair. They bring a believable sense of natural plant life to any space. Their exquisite shape makes them more versatile in using in different settings such as formal parties, weddings, in your home, or on our porch.

Faux Boxwood With Pot

If you are planning on placing the faux boxwood in a decorative pot, it would be a good idea to go with one already in a weighted pot such as this 23-inch Faux Boxwood Topiary from Home Depot. The weighted pot will allow for more stability within the decorative pot, especially for outside use in the weather and wind. I personally love this look and even go an extra step with adding soil or mulch around the plant. This will give the appearance of being more realistic.

Another route would be to go with a faux boxwood that is already in a decorative pot like this 28 Inch Boxwood Topiary in White Tower Planter. This arrangement will certainly be eye-catching in any part of your home.

Faux Boxwood Topiary Tree

If you are looking for more height and something a little different than the Brooklyn Plant from Birchlane may be the one you need. This is a 5-foot triple ball tree that is gorgeous. The branches and leaves are vividly colored and very life-like. The triple ball design will add an interesting element to any home design.
