A new year is a great time to give your home a refresh and make it feel like new again. This is something I try to tackle every year after the holidays. I like to take down all my Christmas decor and set aside a couple of days to do some freshening up around the outside and inside of the house.

I don’t know about you all, but if your children are anything like ours, they love to take part in decorating their own bedroom. It’s fun to bring them in on the process, but sometimes their ideas may not be always on board with what we were thinking.
Our current industrial metal stair railing is always a hot topic when I post pictures of this area. I have to agree, it was one of those “must-have” items I couldn’t live without while we were building this home. I am so happy to say, I love our current stair railings and they are a very important part of making our foyer as beautiful as it is.
